My Lord God, I have no idea where I am going.  I do not see the road ahead of me.  I cannot know for certain where it will end.  Nor do I really know myself, and the fact that I think I am following your will does not mean that I am actually doing so.  But I believe that the desire to please you does in fact please you.  And I hope I have that desire in all that I am doing.  I hope that I will never do anything apart from that desire.  And I know that if I do this you will lead me by the right road, though I may know nothing about it.  Therefore, I will trust you always though I may seem to be lost and in the shadow of death.  I will not fear, for you are ever with me, and you will never leave me to face my perils alone.  Amen.

RPC Christian Education Director Search Committee News…

A Rockledge Presbyterian Church Search Committee has been formed to hire a new Christian Education Director. 

The Committee consists of Bob Trujillo (Chair), Pastor George Wilcox, Beth Strickland (Representative from CE Committee), Tom Milsap (Representative from Corporate Admin Committee), Bonnie McClelland (Representative from the Congregation), Austin Rose (Representative of Youth)

The following tasks are currently being worked by the CE Director Search Committee:

1. Session approved a $40,000 salary package for the new CE Director position in 2010
2. Our RPC Church Information Form(CIF) for the new CE Director position was posted to the PCUSA Church Leadership Connection web site http://www.pcusa.org/clc and is also available on the RPC web site (Click here).
3. A job description document was posted on the Association of Presbyterian Church Educators web site http://www.apcenet.org and is also available on the RPC web site (Click here).
4. Interviews for prospective candidates are scheduled during the 1^st quarter of 2010. 

  
 RPC Happenings!

Rummage Sale at RPC

The High School Youth will be hosting a Rummage Sale at RPC Saturday February 6th from 8a.m.-1p.m.  If anyone has any donations they'd like to make, they can bring them to the Manse garage any Sunday morning in January, during office hours, or by calling Pam Higgins 321-720-2114 for an appointment.  If there are large items, arrangements can be made to do a pick up too.  Any donations would be greatly appreciated, and will help the group raise the needed funds to get to the Presbyterian Youth Conference at Montreat NC, this summer.

Souper Bowl of Caring

On Superbowl Sunday (February 7), RPC's Middle School Youth Group will be holding soup pots at the chuch doors at both services of worship to collect canned goods (pop-top cans or potted meats are preferred) or monetary donations for the Central Brevard Sharing Center.  Please help show God's love to our local neighbors through this different kind of bowl .... the SOUPER BOWL of Caring.

Lenten Bible Study

24 HOURS THAT CHANGED THE WORLD - 40 DAYS OF REFLECTION.  Join us for a Lenten Bible Study in the parlor on Wednesday nights (6:30 - 7:30 pm) beginning on February 24.  Devotions based on Adam Hamilton's powerful book 24 Hours That Changed the World.
