CELEBRATE HOLY WEEK AT RPC Plan to participate in the following opportunities for worship and reflection during Holy Week and on Easter Sunday: Palm/Passion Sunday, March 28th, 8:30 and 11:00 a.m. There will be a traditional palm processional. The Confirmation Class will be commissioned at the 11:00 service. Maundy Thursday, April 1st, 7:00 p.m. The congregation will celebrate the institution of the Last Supper with the service of Holy Communion and the Office of Tenebrae, or “Shadows.” By means of scripture readings and the extinguishing of candles, Tenebrae depicts the shadows of betrayal and desertion that lead to Jesus’ death on the cross. The choir will provide several moving and powerful anthems for this service. Easter Sunday, April 4th, 7:00 a.m. & 11:00 a.m. Our traditional Community Easter Sunrise Service will be held in the Courtyard at 7:00 a.m. Clergy from local congregations will share in the worship leadership. The Easter Breakfast, hosted by the Fellowship Committee, will follow immediately after the Sunrise Service. At 11:00 a.m. the congregation will gather in the sanctuary for a joyful Celebration of the Resurrection featuring inspiring music presented by the choir. Remember, Children’s Sunday School classes WILL meet on Easter, letting out at 10:15 for an Easter Egg Hunt!
